HSHS Soccer Returns to 5A State Semi's!

The 2015 Hot Springs High School Boy's Soccer team found itself in a similar situation as the 2014 team, winning the first two matches in the state tournament, only to face elimination in a hard fought semi-final battle.  Playing without a couple of starters due to penalties envoked in other state play, the (12-6) Trojans left it all on the field, as they were eliminated by the (17-2) Pulaski Academy Bruins by a score of 3-1.  The Bruins had ousted a Hot Springs fellow 5A South conference member Lakeside, (two seed), in quarterfinal action.

Pulaski Academy was the top seed from the 5A Central conference while the Trojans were a third seed in the tournament.  P.A. will face the number one 5A South seed Dequeen for the state title.

Other Trojan scores for tournament play included:

Hot Springs 5; Little Rock Christian 2
Hot Springs 4; Valley View 3

*The Hot Springs Trojans are proud to recognize Erik Guadron for being the Arkansas High School leading scorer for the past two years.

*The Hot Springs Lady Trojan Soccer team also competed in the state tournament, falling in the first round to Little Rock Christian.
