Trojans Take 5A South Conference Title!!

The 2014 Hot Springs High School Trojan football team defeated cross-town rival and fellow 5A South conference member Lakeside by a score of of 53-30 in the regular season finale.  The victory secured a first place finish and outright conference championship for the Trojans after Watson Chapel's defeat at the hands of Camden Fairview.  The Trojans finished conference play at 6-1 and defeated 5A West fourth seed, Little Rock Christian 47-35 at Joe Reese Memorial Stadium's Tommy Holt Memorial Field, Friday, November 14 in the first round of the state playoffs.  Hot Springs advanced to the quarterfinals on November 21 against 5A Central's second seed Beebe, falling short 42-35 to close out the season at 7-5.  The Trojans earned numerous honors throughout the season, including Coach Chris Vereen's Coach of the Year award and Cleo Floyd's recognition at the Little Rock Touchdown Club.
